At Dawley Brook Primary School, we recognise the importance and value of House and Vice House Captains and give the children the opportunity to apply for these posts as they enter Year Six.
All the children who serve as this academic year's House and Vice House Captains applied in writing to their Head of House and then took part in a House election to determine who would be the best person to hold these positions.
This year we have four House Captains and four Vice House Captains. They lead our four Houses - Amber (Yellow), Ruby (Red), Sapphire (Blue) and Emerald (Green). They are:
House Captains and Vice House Captains are expected to an example to younger children, to embody the values and ethos of the school and to contribute to the wider community. They play a pivotal role in special days and themed weeks, assisting the staff in their planned activities. They also help Mrs Maskell and Mr Walters with school event such as Harvest Festival, Christmas and Sports Day and offer congratulations to fellow House members as they receive awards during our weekly Praise Assemblies.
