At Dawley Brook Primary School, pupils are actively encouraged to make choices, knowing that they are in a safe and supportive environment.
As a school we educate and provide boundaries for young pupils to make choices safely, through our provision of a safe environment and empowering education. Pupils are encouraged to know, understand and exercise their rights and personal freedoms and are advised how to exercise these safely.
Pupils are further empowered through the pro-active nature of the school council. Whether it be through the choice of challenge, voluntary home enrichment tasks, participation in extra-curricular activities or engaging with provided age-related opportunities, pupils are given the freedom to make choices.
The school actively encourages participation in whole school assemblies which celebrate individual liberty and support local and national charitable events.
