At Dawley Brook Primary School, the importance of rules and laws, whether they be those that govern the class, the school, or the country, are consistently reinforced.
Pupils are taught the value and reasons behind rules and laws, the responsibilities that this involves and the consequences when they are broken. The school is developing links with community authorities such as the Police and Fire Service to create a regular and timely academic calendar which reinforces this message.
The school promotes national events such as Anti-bullying Week and E-Safety Day, which helps the children to understand how to behave towards each other and how to keep themselves and others safe.
The school's Behaviour Policy is shared with all stakeholders and 'Good to be Green' boards are used to reinforce classroom rules and expectations.
